Use the completed layer as an anchor, then place a side centre.

Finish a first layer and a side centre, then solve the remaining centres and corners. L4C handles the centres while leaving corner orientation; CLL finishes the corners without disturbing the centres. L4C+CLL combines those finishes. Recognition must include the side centre already solved: a centre arrangement that looks the same after a regrip may have a different corner case.
