Layer by layer (beginner)

The method almost everyone learns first: the cross, the first layer, the middle edges, then the last layer in small steps.

1. Bottom layer

The cross

The white edges around the white centre, each beside the centre of its side colour.

First-layer corners

The white corners go above their slot and drop in with the trigger.

Middle-layer edges

The middle edges go in with the same trigger, held differently.

2. Top layer

The yellow cross

Make a cross on top: three cases (dot, line, L).

Turn the top corners so the top face is one colour: seven OCLL cases.

Top corners into place

Swap the top corners home: 2 cases.
